Our Home Makeover

So I finally gave in and took some pictures of our house. We are getting closer to finishing the projects we have begun, and then have millions of projects waiting, but we have made some progress. This entire process is fun, stressful and very tiring. I don't know if I could do it all over again because now I know just how much work it is! That being said, I have to say there is something very fulfilling in creating your own little nest! Todd and I (and really mostly Todd) have done all the work by ourselves, except for the granite countertops. Those were magically there one day when we got home from work, which felt so nice to just have something done by someone else when we got home, even though we paid the price! So here is a sneak peak of the Crowther house hold.....

BATHROOM BEFORE... (lovely!)

BATHROOM AFTER... (still not totally finished)

KITCHEN BEFORE... (thanks brother Rob, who came and steam cleaned our tile)

KITCHEN AFTER... (also not totally finished yet)

This picture doesn't do the kitchen justice, first because you can't tell from this picture that those cabinets took 3 months to refinish but second, because you can hardly see the cute backsplash Todd put in for me. It is a tan stone in a brick pattern and it turned out so cute! He did such a good job tiling the backsplash and bathroom shower, considering it was his first time ever tiling.

And there you have it! The kitchen still needs painted walls, crown and base board and a few other touch up things and then it will truly be finished. The bathroom also just has a few finishing jobs to do, but for the most part they are done and it feels so good! Our next projects will be our yard and a nursery for baby. Oh boy, there is so much to do still! And by the way, this doesn't excuse you from coming to visit us in Oakley!!!

WOW. Nice work Todd & Annie. We have only attempted to paint 1 wall in our home and it was a nightmare - so bad that I don't know if we'll ever have anything but white walls.. we aren't too handy to say the least :) I'm super impressed with all the work you guys have done, your kitchen and bathroom look absolutely beautiful.

You're house is beautiful. I am in love with your kitchen and totally inspired by your remodel. It gives me hope as we're looking at all these old houses and I get totally disgusted!! Congrats on YOUR pregnancy young lady!! We still don't know what we're having but not by choice. We've tried to tell twice but our little baby is just too stinkin shy. I'm 22 weeks... how far along are you?

WOW!! Your projects turned out fablously! (I am still an awe over your bathroom...it looks amazing!) Good job Todd! :) There is definitely some perks to having a husband who is trained in construction (I guess we should thank Bud for that!). I can't wait to come see it in person. Oh...and congrats on a baby boy!! We are so excited for you guys. Miss you and love you guys lots!

Wow! When I saw the first picture of the bathroom (before I realized it was the before photo), I thought, "Hey, that's pretty cute!" Then I saw your finished product and I was blown away. What stylish taste! :) Your kitchen is beautiful too. I'm so impressed with you two.

And congrats on having a BOY! Boys are the best.
